Mama Bear peeked into the meeting room: Why are you all so glum? The kids are asleep, this is prime work time.
Patternist looked up from her spreadsheets: We have to start all over again. Two months ago we made a goof, no one noticed it until Sample Knitter got stuck. I didn’t even catch it. All those charts, all that text, useless.
Editor stepped away from the window: I’ll have to push the deadline back, good thing this was being self published, there is no contract to break. Has anyone seen Butterfly?
Sample Knitter spoke up: So, what do you want me to make? I hear Dr Who music, nothing goes with knitting like TV, is there anything I can make toward the photo shoot?
Patternist looked like she was going to cry: Just leave me with my numbers, it’s going to be a while.
Editor started to e-mail the photographer to postpone the shoot, then sat staring at the monitor.
Mama Bear cleared her throat: There have been set backs before. I’m sure even Elizabeth Zimmerman had to frog…something. Let’s make some tea and join the guys; come on Patternist, a rest will help you and Editor see errors. Editor? Why don’t you write that e-mail, you’ll feel better once that’s out of the way.
Sample Knitter cut in: But what to I do with my hands while we watch TV?
Mama Bear put her paw on Sample Knitter’s shoulder: I think there is some mending we can do; no one should have to watch TV with empty hands, that’s just too sad.
