Where to buy Ten Mile River Scarf Pattern
The Ten Mile River Scarf is a new crochet scarf pattern. It’s solid, reversible, wide. I named it for the Ten Mile River in my town that powered several mills before they were electrified.
The work runs along the long edge of the rectangle. That makes the variations of the Malabrigo Arroyo flow in entertaining ways. Because the fabric looks knit, but if it were, the colors would be 90 degrees turned.
Does it make the workflow live up to it’s namesake? Um, maybe the foundation chain! None of my test crocheters complained of that part though, and I didn’t mind it myself when I was making it. That pretty yarn is part of it, I’m sure.
I made sure that both sides of the almond stitch would be visible on both sides of the scarf by making the repeat an odd number.
So it’s 3 textures for 2 stitch patterns.
The stitch patterns them selves are made up of just slip stitches and half double crochet. The placement and arrangement makes all the difference.
