I wanted a simple but cool pattern to test out the process of writing a pattern, and test knitting it.

Back in college I noticed how the twists between color blocks in intarsia were actually purl stitches running vertically. I wondered what would happen if I put them on the knit side of a fabric. I love symmetry.

I hate weaving in ends though, so I figured out how to leave them next to the I-cord for easy hiding.

This pattern uses 2 skeins of Sugar’n Cream, enough to make two dishcloths, inverses of each other.

Thanks to my test knitters amyers’,kninspin, LittleP3, and MadMartiKnits. Alarid made the layout logical and pretty. You were all kind teachers.
