Colors of Spring in Attleboro, April 30, 2020 during Covid19 stuckness

Dan has often remarked that the early buds of spring are a peek at the fall colors.  Today I’m seeing eager green and deep red, though I know there will be pale orange too soon.

I took a walk by myself today with a camera, wearing a face mask and stepping across the road to avoid neighbors.  I was trying to photograph that deep red color when I saw it.  Sometimes it was more of a purple.

I don’t usually combine red and pink, though I love all the gradients of other colors.

I was pleased with these mosses, I hadn’t noticed how bright the red orange was in the front when I took the photo, it’s possible my monitor is different than the real thing though.

when I was a girl, I always colored tree trunks brown, but they are often grey, or taupe

Was it cheating to include garden sprouts too?

The rhubarb is a different red than the tree buds.

This is one of the first bees I’ve seen!

I gotta get my peony hoops up soon.

dunno what this is, but there is that red.

Now, do any of these colors want to turn up in colorwork knitwear?  I dunno that either.
