A pair of feet in green Ebla socks knit in Anzula Nebula yarn toes pointing right.

Ebla Socks are knit top down, beginning with an altered ribbing that flows perfectly into a twist stitch lattice. The lattice swells to a star, then mirrors down to the heel.

The heel is a standard flap, round heel and gusset arrangement, but the instep takes the lattice from the leg and makes a lozenge out of it for another star. The foot settles down to peaceful stockinette (not long enough to bore) and then a long toe.

Lattice twist stitches can have the same challenges as jog-less stripes in the round, but my test knitters, TEs and I came up with written instructions for one way to deal with the problem, the charts indicate when to go peek at the words.

There are 5 sizes, each with it’s own proportional star and lattice, you can knit a whole constellation of socks and tweak a comfy fit for everybody.
