I’m a bit removed from time right now, it still feels like Christmas to me, and we’ve passed Epiphany.  So the New Year really feels new to me.

I had surgery on Christmas Eve and came home 4 days later. My family and church are taking wonderful care of me; I’m taking long walks, but not lifting tea kettles (or anything heavier than a tea kettle, my kids keep tabs on me).  Several more things than we expected seem to have been fixed by the procedure, and I squeaked though my insurance deadline when my deductible was still paid.

I’ve started writing some crocheted mitts based on the Half Moon Mitts. One section says, “FIGURE THIS PART OUT AND WRITE IT.”

I thought that might make you chuckle.

Happy New Year!

  1. What a wonderful blessing to have more things fixed than expected! May God continue to lay His healing hand upon you. And no lifting those tea kettles. I did get a chuckle out of your “note to self” and admit I do the same (often with stitch numbers).

    Hugs and healing prayers!
