MC in St st, CC in i-cord and following fabric
From the right side, cast on 3 sts with working yarn. Turn.
Row 1: Kfb, k2, k2tog (the last of the i-cord sts and the first of the sts receiving the insertion) sl 3 sts back onto the right needle. You will be leaving your first increased stitch on the right needle.
Row 2: Right Lifted Increase (RLI), k2, k2tog (the last of the i-cord sts and the first of the sts receiving the insertion) sl 3 sts back onto the right needle. You will be leaving your first increased stitch on the right needle.
Repeat Row 2 until all of the initial sts have been worked. The i-cord sts will pile up on the right needle. Bind off the 3 i-cord sts (Or if you are working circularly, put them on holder until you can graft them to their cast on). Turn, continue working on the sts above the i-cord insertion.
