Butterfly asked for the camera, then hopped up and down with impatience. The interlacing flowers looked like stained glass.
Patternist hander her the camera then really looked at the flower:Is there a pattern to the flower arrangement?
Butterfly:Who cares? They are so blue. pity there’s no fragrance though.
Patterist retorted: Order is part of beauty. How many petals? Are they aligned? Look how the ones on the far side of the stalk show through to the front
Butterfly was about to flit to the alliums, but the colors of the camassia caught her attention: I just love the greenish dot in the center! It’s so spunky. And those yellow things are darling!
Patternist: I think those are stamen – or is it pistels…

Look at how these little flowers nearly form a sphere. It’s so…round. I love the roundness.
Patternist muttered: Six petals, are they arranged neatly?
Butterfly replied:You’re missing the point. It’s the roundness that’s the point. And the purple-ness.”
