I love to sit at this oak tree in front of my son’s flute teacher’s house.
Once a week we borrow her yard to run around in during Ben’s music lesson. It has acorns, pretty mushrooms, a few outcroppings for climbing, and a large stand of touch-me-not flowers down the road for seedpod popping.
If I’m not working on samples there, I’m sketching ideas in my notebook or writing out reminders to market patterns.
I get a surprising amount done under the oak tree, despite M and K’s calls for me to referee their games, be the monkey in the middle or produce snacks and water for them.
